Background:

Tasneem Breaka has started her career in innovation as a Design researcher in a design startup, and after an extensive amount of online training and courses in design thinking and service design, she got promoted to a Service Designer, and shortly after that she led their newly launched Innovation program, designed to help students learn and implement design thinking methodologies.

Tasneem studied visual arts at the American University in Cairo, as an undergraduate, where she learned a lot about conceptual research techniques and the design process, and midway through her innovation career, she designed a social project which helped get a scholarship in Istituto Europeo di Design in Barcelona, where she got her postgraduate degree in Design for innovation strategies.

Tasneem has led RiseUp’s, the biggest entrepreneurship summit in the MENA Region, Innovation and Strategy department from 2018 to 2021, where she successfully turned the organization into Innovation led and worked on developing projects and services on both horizontal and vertical levels, using innovation and design thinking methodologies, while continuously iterating on the company’s overall strategy. Tasneem is currently Managing the Arab Bank’s in Egypt Intrapreneurship Program, with the aim to drive innovation as a bottom-up approach and encourage employees of all levels to work and implement their product and service ideas.
