Katie Mapondera

Katie Mapondera is an Innovation 360 practitioner and Managing Partner at Q L and D, LLC. She has been building and leading innovative teams in the nonprofit, government, and corporate sectors for more than a decade, with a career spanning three industries and two continents. Katie has held permanent roles in leadership and management, business development, and marketing and communications in the software and information industry, K-20 education, and the building design and construction industry. Her recent consultancy engagements have included supporting General Electric’s (GE) Digital Energy Software Solutions MENAT division in launching their Smart Grid Lab, a state-of-the-art technology simulation and training laboratory at Qatar Science and Technology Park. She also worked with GE’s global teams to craft cybersecurity and custom leadership development programs for energy sector government entities in the Gulf region. Before moving to the Middle East, Katie was based in Washington DC where she held posts as Director of Programs for Byte Back, a nonprofit technology training organization, Education Division Manager at the Software & Information Industry Association, and Director of Membership at the National Association of People With AIDS, among other roles. In Qatar, Katie has served as an executive and consultant in program design, project management, and learning and development, with a wide cross-section of entities ranging from Qatar Business Incubation Center to Fortune 500 company GE. Katie is passionate about building individual and organizational capacity for innovation and is a proud and active member of the International Coaching Federation.
